How do I clean my Infrashine flat iron?

It's ceramic..how do you clean it? It has a lot of product buildup on it.

Well yours is pretty similar to mine. I clean mine by wiping it down with some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball. Dont start rubbing it in or anything, just gently wipe down the plates with enough pressure to get any grease or yuckieness off. Make sure to wipe off the alcohol afterwards with water on a cotton ball in the same fashion. then finally, wipe the plates dry with a paper towel. You should do this at least once a week. I dont know if you still have the information packet that came with your flat iron, but i kept mine and thats how it said to clean it.

Look for a brand called CHI. They all have ceramic and tourmaline technology. Ceramic heats evenly and has no hot spots. The iron itself has a full ceramic plate to help with frizzies and to get the hair cuticle to lay flat. Cheaper irons only have coating of ceramic and will wear faster. The tourmaline is naturally negative ion charged and helps with shine. They should also have a variable heat setting for different types of hair. CHI's are on the pricey side, starting at around $100 but so well worth it.
Paper towel and some hot water. Methelated spirits can work too.
