do not get a perm!!!!! me and my mom both have curly hair and and my mom told me a story how she got a perm when she was a teenager and her hair puffed up and she looked like a lion… you would have to get your hair chemically straightened but then it wouldn't be in spiral curls, it would be a kind of frizzy wave. but you could always get a relaxer treatment once or twice so it doesnt go straight it just loosens the curl, you have to talk to your hair stylist first to make sure he/she doesn't put too much of the treatment!!!

hey great vid. I’m using the small rollers for the first time but I had to twist the hair and couldnt roll it the normal way do you have any tips on using something besides detangler to help with frizz after removing rollers so I won’t have to twist and roll.

Sedu is the best straightener, but quite expensive. Honestly, in this case, the expensive ones are the highest quality. I really would encourage you to invest in a nice one. Not just because it works really well, but because nicer ones protect your hair and don't pull or fry the hair. And always make sure to use a heat protectant spray.

I've had a chi for 3 years now. It's never given me any problems and always works really well. Mine is the original so it only has one heat setting, but I've never felt like it was hurting my hair any more than other straightening irons. If you want more settings, tho, the "Chi Turbo" and the "Wee Chi" have adjustable temperatures. Also, if you're worried about damage to your hair, there's several products you can buy (at drug stores and salons) that are made to protect hair from heat damage- you just put them on before styling and they act as a shield from the heat.
