I have a Cricket flat iron, can someone tell me how to take the ceramic plates off without damaging them?

I have a Cricket flat iron, I'm wanting to do the same to it, but I'm not sure how without damaging the plates. If any of you have ever done this to yours, any info would be appreciated.

There should be a button that you press on it (possibly near the handle.)

Simply push this button and slide the plates off.

If there is no button, there is no way to take the plates off.

so when i flat iron my hair i put a serum, heat protector mist, leave in slit end cream, & a glossing mist. all my products are alcohol free and i put it only on damp hair. are there any other ingredients i shouldn't use that could be in my styling products that are also bad to use with heat other then alcohol? do i use too many products? i have thick & dryish hair so my hair never gets oily. i have a bunch of split ends but i dont want to cut my hair im trying to grow it longer. which ones should i stop using? I REALLY NEED HELP!

It's bad when you flat iron your hair damp. It's like you are trying to boil your hair. Also, try not to use the flat iron no more than 2-3 times a week. That can damage your hair as well. Trim your ends if they are really rough and hard to manage. At night, wrap your hair in a doobie style, spray it w/ oil sheen lightly and tie w/ a silk scarf. Your hair will still be straight and will limit the use of a flat iron. Serums and heat protectant is fine, but the other products aren't really necessary.
